Breathtaking coast tour

Discover Nuraghe Mannu one of the most evocative points of the Gulf of Orsei and enjoy the panoramic view of Cala Gonone.

DEPARTURE (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) - Morning, 9:15 am / Afternoon, 3:00 p
Climb through the forest on traffic-free paths to the archaeological site of Nuraghe Mannu. The site is very important for the history of Dorgali; in fact Nuraghe Mannu rises in a very strategic point in the center of the Gulf of Orosei and for this reason used by all the civilizations that have followed one another in this territory. Today it certainly remains one of the most suggestive points to observe the Gulf of Orosei.
After the guided tour of the site, proceed to Cala Fuili, one of the most beautiful beaches of Gonone and then reach Palmasera beach. It is fascinating to see how in a few minutes you can pass from a site perched on the mountain, to the shores of the most important beach of Cala Gonone.
Coffee break, and ascent to the road called "the panoramic": 100 meters above the sea, you will be amazed by the beauty of its scenery. The panoramic view is located north of Cala Gonone with a surprise ending on the terrace overlooking the opposite side of Mount Ghirveri.

Cedrino lake and natural pools of Canyon Caddaris

From the historic center of Dorgali to Lake Cedrino with a swim in the natural pools of Canyon Caddaris

DEPARTURE - 9:15 am
It starts with a visit to the historic center of Dorgali and continues through the Dorgali countryside, to discover 11 churches and country churches (many of which date back to 1600), including the Carmelo church from which you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Dorgali.
Crossing ancient dirt roads between the Mediterranean scrub and olive groves you arrive at the Ecoparco Neulè a very beautiful place where you can see many animals such as Sardinian donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs and horses. Furthermore, you can enjoy a terrace with a breathtaking view of Lake Cedrino.
Immediately after, we leave again towards the Nuraghe Neulè (not far away) where you can admire the ancient tower dating back to 1600 BC and what probably must have been a basin for ablutions, adorned with vertically positioned megalithic rocks, which had to be used during their sacred rituals. After a look at the enchanting Cedrino valley from a particular point, continue towards Canyon Caddaris using dirt roads lined with dry stone walls built by the skilled hands of the Dorgalesi of the past. Once in the Canyon it will be possible to take a refreshing bath in its natural pools

Oddoene Valley tour and natural waterfalls

From the Cannonau vineyards to the crystalline waters of the Frumeneddu stream

DEPARTURE - 3.30 pm
From the Hotel Barbagia there is a short transfer to the Oddoene valley.
The valley presents a unique scenario with its vineyards and olive groves set in a natural setting formed by the Supramonte mountains. Mountains which, due to their composition of limestone, are white to gray in color interspersed with reddish brown streaks. In the Oddoene valley there are a maze of agricultural penetration roads that allow the exploration of the same and at the same time to enjoy the nature and the scenarios that compose it to the fullest.
The bike tour starts from the bottom of the valley near the Frumeneddu stream which originates from the famous and spectacular Gorropu gorge located upstream. Then you reach natural pools and waterfalls with water so crystal clear that it is impossible to resist bathing and cooling off. Once regenerated from swimming in the pools, around 5.00 pm the sun begins to hide behind the mountains and the valley begins to be in the shade; this gives us the opportunity to start the ride in a fresh and pleasant way.
The tour continues with a nice ups and downs through a dirt path that penetrates into the valley. From the path it is possible to admire all the small plots with the typical Cannonau grape vineyards, characterized by plants raised at low height to counteract the strong wind and interspersed with numerous olive groves, from which the finest wines and oil of the Dorgali area are produced. . During the tour it will be possible to visit the country church of the Buon Cammino of 1600 built on an ancient route dating back to the Roman era that went from Olbia to Cagliari, a Domus di Janas (a tomb dating back to 4000 BC where it is said that fairies still live today ), the ruins of a Giants' tomb from 1500 BC and a nuraghe overlooking a granite hill. There will be a little bit of an adventurous surprise on the tour.
